Geograph - what's that?

For an explanation of Geographing click this - http://www.geograph.org.uk/

This is Sue on the only piece of land in this particular square. In the background you can see the Isle of Wight and if you screw your eyes up the Needles - rightish.
For a January afternoon the weather was superb so we spent about 45 mins here enjoying the sunshine.
'What's she holding!' I hear you cry - its a GPS receiver to check the correct position.

Friday Walk

Sue and I went for walk close to the wonderfully named Three Legged Cross. We went up the dismantled railway, which is now a bridleway. On the way back we had to pass through numerous paddocks with their nosey residents.

JHQ Lunch

On Sunday 15th January the JHQ lunch group were invited to Rae and Don Ford's lovely new home, on the edge of Bristol. It was a 100% turnout which was nice because Sue and I haven't been to all the lunches, so we hadn't seen some people for quite a while.
Rae did us proud with a super lunch, rumour is that Don did help. Most noticeable over lunch was the noise, at times I think everyone was talking - so much to say in too short a space of time.
After lunch we had a treat from Rae with a short harp recital, definitely a first for me.
Here are a few photos - you know who you are - hope you enjoy them.

Lousy Weather

Both Sue and I have had rotten colds for the last week. To finish things off the weather today is rubbish and so we will not even get out for a walk. It has enabled me to almost complete our planning for South Africa. Dave Wordworth is doing the car hire and I am doing the self catering accommodation. Anyway it is nearly all done so if there are any experts out there on the Garden Route, then let us know of places to visit, things to do and places to eat and drink.
Looking forward hearing from you.

Happy New Year

We hope you had a good Christmas and that Santa brought you everything that you asked for.
Sue's sister Pam, brother in-law Richard and nephew David stayed over Christmas. I took Richard for a 6 mile walk in preparation for a ramble I was leading on New Years Day. Unfortunately I missed a heavily disguised turn and the walk became 7 miles. Anyway that set us up for a lovely Christmas lunch.
