Winter Sun

We had decided a while ago that we cannot do without winter sun. Again we went away with Carol and David Wordsworth.
Sue and I wanted to return to South Africa so this time we went via Namibia. The cheapest flights were with Air Namibia so we had a free stopover in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
The first problem we had was that the car voucher had last months date on it when all the other paperwork had the correct date on it. Anyway the only vehicle available was a Nissan 4x4, this we had for just a little more in cost than the small car we had ordered.
Nambia had had more rain this winter than it had in living memory. The 4x4 came in handy when we had to go through floods.

The accommodation we had in Windhoek was owned by about 3 pilots from Air Namibia so we got the low down on the airline. One of pilots had been on our flight from Gatwick. Windhoek is not too exciting a place, Namibia offers some interesting trips so I think we will be back.

David with Lucas, the handyman, If Lucas had his way he would have used all the firelighters to light to braai, BBQ.
